Carving as Process

This project explores carving as a generative design method, where the tool’s action dictates form and material transformation. Rather than imposing a predetermined outcome, the process is guided by the interplay between tool, movement, and material, creating an evolving dialogue between maker and medium. Each stroke is intentional, revealing the spatial and textural potential of subtraction. This investigation reframes crafting as an iterative exploration, where the act of making is as significant as the final artifact.
